Dr. Louis Na, DAOM
Doctor of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine
Dr. Louis Na is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with over 15 years of clinical experience in Eight Constitution Medicine. A graduate of South Baylo University, he has dedicated his career to a revolutionary approach in constitutional medicine that identifies each patient’s unique body type through precise pulse diagnosis.
Dr. Na specializes in treating conditions that many patients have struggled with for years — digestive disorders (IBS, acid reflux, bloating), autoimmune conditions (lupus, fibromyalgia), thyroid disorders, chronic fatigue, metabolic imbalances, and more. His patients often report significant improvements within weeks of following their constitutional treatment plan.
“We treat patients as living beings, not machines. We don’t just paint the leaves green — we examine the condition of the soil.”— Dr. Louis Na
Our Approach: Body as a Garden, Not a Machine
Understanding the fundamental difference between Western and Eastern medicine
🔧 Western Medicine Sees You as a Machine
- Brain = Computer → Headache? Take painkillers
- Lungs = Air pump → Breathing issue? Use inhalers
- Stomach = Storage → Digestive problem? Take antacids
- Joints = Mechanical parts → Knee pain? Consider surgery
Fix the broken part or take it out.
🌳 Eastern Medicine Sees You as a Garden
- Brain = Cloud → Observe the weather (your condition)
- Lungs = Tree → Needs proper oxygen and care
- Stomach = Soil → Requires the right nutrition
- Joints = Roots → Must be strengthened from within
We examine the soil, check the water, ensure proper sunlight.
What is Your Body Type?
Your body type is determined by how your digestive organs work
Liver — Protein Digestion
Your liver digests animal protein (meat, seafood) by producing bile, which breaks down fat. Different constitutions have different liver strengths — this determines how much protein you can handle.
Lion analogy: Lions produce 10x more bile → they eat only meat with no cholesterol problems.
Pancreas — Carb Digestion
Your pancreas handles carbohydrates — rice, bread, pasta, and sweets — by producing insulin to control blood sugar. We need sugar for energy, but the right type and amount varies by constitution.
A1C levels above 6 indicate diabetes — a disorder of carb metabolism.
Colon — Fiber Digestion
Your large intestine and colon process fiber from vegetables and fruits. Conditions like IBS, constipation, and diarrhea reflect colon function — which varies dramatically across body types.
Cow analogy: Cows have 4 stomachs and 10x larger intestines → pure herbivores.
Humans are Omnivores — But Each Person is Different
Some people lean toward carnivore metabolism (stronger liver), others toward herbivore metabolism (stronger colon). Your constitutional type determines the ideal balance of protein, carbs, and fiber.
The Root Cause of Disease
🩸 #1: Blood Quality Depends on Food
When we eat, food becomes blood. Blood tests measure exactly what we’ve been eating: cholesterol (fat), glucose (sugar), sodium (salt). Blood delivers nutrients, oxygen, water, and minerals to every cell.
Eating the wrong foods for your constitution = poor blood quality = disease over time.
🫘 #2: Organs Are Filters
Our organs don’t just digest — they filter blood:
- Lungs filter air (smoking → blocked lung vessels)
- Liver filters blood (alcohol, medications → liver stress)
- Kidneys filter water (dehydration → kidney stones)
When filters are blocked → blood pressure rises → cardiovascular disease (#1 cause of death worldwide).
💥 Disease = Inflammation
Hepatitis, pancreatitis, arthritis — anything ending in “-itis” is inflammation. Inflammation causes pain, redness, and heat. Chronic inflammation from wrong foods leads to serious disease over time.
⚖️ Disorder = Imbalance
Diabetes, high cholesterol, and hormonal issues are conditions of imbalance. Your body needs sugar (energy), fat (cell function), and salt (nerve function) — but in the right amounts for your body type.
Our Diagnostic Methods
Three advanced methods to accurately determine your constitutional type
Constitutional Pulse Diagnosis
The primary diagnostic method. Dr. Na reads eight distinct pulse formations at the wrist to identify your constitutional type. Each body type has a unique pulse signature that reveals your organ hierarchy.
Organ Ultrasound Assessment
Dr. Na measures the actual size of your organs (liver, kidneys, etc.) using ultrasound. Organ size relative to body frame helps confirm your constitutional type — a large man may have a small liver, or vice versa.
Live Blood Cell Analysis
A drop of blood under a high-powered microscope reveals the orientation and condition of your blood cells on screen. This real-time analysis provides additional confirmation and shows current health status.
